Privacy policy

Drift Destination · Queensland, Australia · Updated 27 August 2026

1. Who we are

Drift Destination (“Drift”, “we”, “us”) is a local directory and tourism app for destinations such as the Whitsundays and other regions we add over time. Operated as a sole trader under ABN 37 443 450 605. This policy covers the Drift app, visitor site (driftdestination.com.au), and related services.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to run Drift:

We do not sell personal information. We do not use advertising SDKs. We do not collect precise device location for ads.

3. Why we use it

4. Photos

Photos you add to a listing are shown on Drift so visitors can recognise the business. Only upload photos you have the right to use. We may remove a photo that is wrong, offensive, or clearly not yours.

5. Cookies and sign-in

We store a small sign-in cookie and local device data so you can stay logged in on that browser. That data stays on your device unless you log out or clear website data. A test address on your home network and driftdestination.com.au are separate sites and will not share that sign-in.

6. Who we share with

We do not sell your details. We share only what is required:

Listing details you publish (name, phone, website, photo) are visible to visitors. That is the point of a directory.

7. How long we keep it

Account and listing data stays while the account or listing is active. You can ask us to close an account or remove a listing. We may keep a short record of payments and abuse reports where we need to.

8. Access and deletion

Email hello@driftdestination.com.au to:

We will handle that as quickly as we reasonably can. Some listing facts (a public business name already on the directory) may stay as public directory data.

9. Children

Drift is a general directory. It is not aimed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under 13.

10. Security

We use HTTPS on the live site and keep access to operator tools limited. No method is perfect. Tell us if you think an account was used without you.

11. Complaints

If you are not happy with how we handle your information, email us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

12. Changes

We may update this policy as Drift grows. The date at the top is the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
